“Pat” Maule is a senior paralegal in the practice areas of tax, trust, corporate and real estate. She has worked with Tom Kawakami for 22 years and Kevin Lamb for 17 years. Prior to crossing over to a paralegal career, she was the manager and senior commercial escrow officer of a highly respected Los Angeles escrow company and previously worked at a major title insurance company.
Creation, reorganization and dissolution of business entities, creation of charitable foundations, administration of property tax appeals, IRS 1031 exchange transactions, large trust and estate administrations, secured loans, real property transfers, stock transfers and gifts.

Assisted in the charter, registration and/or reorganization of companies across the United States, including foreign company registrations and acquisitions. Maintained the corporate registrations, records and stock books of assorted business organizations, including major data processing, telecommunication, technology, farming, food, and manufacturing companies. Extensive experience with foreign shareholders of U.S. corporations. Have supported the legal team in many acquisitions and sale transactions, including a major ice cream manufacturer, specialty foods companies and aircraft parts manufacturer.

Real Estate

Assisted in the negotiations with tax assessors and settlements of property tax cases prior to board hearings.

Tax and Estate Planning

Assisted with the transfers to and from a trust and/or gifts of real property including real property interests in Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Assisted with estate planning and trust administration for individuals with complex business affairs, real property interests and extended family matters. From time to time, have successfully avoided probate by locating lost beneficiaries of estates and private party lenders.
